New year – boost your team spirit

LinkedIn Post: In this article I show only three little adjustments to boost team spirit

Oh wow, it’s already February…

I’m a bit shocked at how fast January flew by—anyone else feel the same?
So, who has already broken their New Year’s resolution? I have! …just a little, to be more visible here. The good news is, a lot of work got done in January and honestly, some recent political developments in Germany (and elsewhere) left me frozen and speechless. Otherwise, I wanted to be more relaxed this year, and for the first time I didn’t make really a list of resolutions – and it felt much better.

💡 And in fact, there’s no „wrong“ day to start something new or to implement a fresh idea—whether it’s for yourself or for your team.

📌 Why not try something new in your team meetings to boost team spirit and motivation?

Never to late – start today

Here are three simple suggestions to improve team dynamics:

1️⃣ Start your team meeting with a mindful exercise: Take a moment to ensure everyone feels present, calm, and focused. For instance, try the „30-second reset.“

2️⃣ Create a virtual coffee corner: If your team works remotely, set up a virtual space that’s open all day where people can drop in for casual chats or a coffee break.

3️⃣ Celebrate cultural diversity: If you’re lucky enough to work with a culturally diverse team, why not organize a regular breakfast featuring dishes from different countries? Even within one country, there are unique breakfast traditions to explore!

Have you tried any of these ideas and did they work? Or do you have your own small habits to strengthen team spirit daily?
🔆 Let me know—I’d love to hear your thoughts!
